| A sample of a Maidenform Bra |
And speaking of swimsuits, have you seen the latest swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated? Talk about sexploitation! That issue sure sells a lot of magazines.Girls, why are you not picketing things like these soft-porn "fashion shows?" They do turn us men on and you don't want that do you?
Sam and I have to laugh because we saw in South Puget Sound Community College's current Corporate and Continuing Education catalog a workshop called "Your Body Speaks Your Mind." The workshop is said to "detail current working concepts on how unconscious mental and emotional patterns act upon the body and how gathering awareness of these can help relieve physical symptoms." Maybe, just maybe, parading around half naked speaks to the mindset of the Victorias Secret models. But what are they trying to tell us? Are they saying, I'm comfortable in my own skin and I'm not consciously trying to turn guys on, therefore I'm healthy minded? Sam and I seriously doubt that. Or are they saying - which I suspect is more the truth - "Hey! I'm being paid a boodle of money for doing this and I'll show anything if the price is right." Seems to Sam and I like that's the mantra of porn stars and prostitutes. But most likely all those ladies are saying, "Boy I hate this job, but the money - whoo-hoo!"
That's called selling your soul isn't it?
The college is offering another workshop called, Dream Interpretation for Personal Growth. Remember those old TV commercials for Maidenform Bras where the model "dreamed she was - doing - whatever - in her Maidenform Bra?" The school catalog says, "Working with dreams gives us profound insights into our unconscious world. Dream interpretation is simply the most powerful tool we have to understand the inner dynamics that drive and determine our life's experiences."
Uh, yokay! So maybe all those Victorias Secret models and Sports Illustrated swimsuit models were just engaging in dream interpretation - as in acting out their dreams of being highly paid models no matter how much skin they had to show. Shame on you other ladies though for not waking those models up to the havoc they are wreaking on us poor men. Remember ladies, this is America where people are not held accountable. If we men engage in sexual assault, it's someone else's fault. Guess who's?
